Note

    Type of barrel tile (筒瓦 tongwa) used to cap the end of a line of covering tiles at the eaves.

    瓦當的本意是瓦頭.現指 筒瓦 的一種，剖面如 "┍—",作為蓋瓦用於檐頭以遮擋檐部.如明清的 "勾頭".在清代文獻中，"瓦當"似通常專指秦漢等較早時期的瓦當.
